Summary of Meeting, Prepared by Margaret de la Fuente, Secretary

President’s Message from Craig Hutson

Welcome! We had 50 people RSVP, 20 people in attendance, 15 lots represented.

Building on Lots

All 57 lots are occupied

Dogs in Neighborhood

Please pick up after your dogs. Be conscientious of your neighbors. Don’t let dogs run wild, keep them on a leash. An email was sent out about a dog that has bitten another dog. Please contact the proper Cook County authorities if an incident occurs.

Landscaping & Summer Maintenance

Grass in both entrances needs to be cut, need volunteers. Contact the board if interested in helping out.

Entrance Signs

North Entrance – The gap between the base and the hill of stones has been filled. We would need to spend more money on landscaping if we want to improve the entrance. Ideas for improvement included planting boxwoods and installing tiers (plastic, wood, or stone) to make the sign look less like a mound of stone.

Please send suggestions for the North entrance to rollingknolls123@gmail.com. All ideas are welcome!

When we need more mulch, the board will order a more natural chocolate/brown mulch for both entrances.

Secretary’s Message from Margaret de la Fuente

Email communication will continue. Blog posts and private Facebook group posts will continue.

Took a vote on SurveyMonkey and text messaging, Deb S. made a motion to stop services, Jon J. seconded, all in agreement. Services will be discontinued.

Treasurer’s Message from Sundar Vivek

2022 Expenses

Annual meeting expenses were high last year to bring in more people. Landscaping and tree maintenance was also higher than normal, due to several trees needing to be removed and a refresh for the new signs.

Entrance signs accounted for a large portion of the budget. Previous signs were wood and were deteriorating and needed to be replaced. The lights were also a high expense, but they have a warranty and had to be installed by a professional service.

2023 Assessment: $100 x 57 lots = $5,700 annual fees.

Motion to add $1000 to landscaping, 14 votes in favor.

New Officer – Treasurer

Linda D’Oyley elected new Treasurer, 15 votes in favor.
